Caramel Corn

One and a half cups brown sugar
one cup white sugar
one tsp salt
two thirds cup light karo three quarters cup water
cook to soft ball stage while syrup is cooking
melt one cup butter
one tsp vanilla
one tsp soda
add to syrup pour over pop corn
1.5 c popcorn kernel
